Booking Terms and Conditions


Sarah Bolter trading as Chalet Pomet and hereinafter called Chalet Pomet give notice that: The terms and conditions in this document together with your invoice and booking form comprise the agreement between Chalet Pomet and all those listed on the booking form on whose behalf the group leader has signed. The contract is deemed to have been made upon receipt of deposit.

Making your booking and Payment - Booking shall be made in writing on the booking forms and accompanied by a deposit of the amount stated on the booking form. All deposits are non-refundable except when we are unable to accept your booking, as a result of double booking. Payment of the balance must be made no later than 8 weeks before departure date. For bookings within 8 weeks of the departure date the full cost of the holiday is payable immediately. Where payment is not made 8 weeks before departure date Chalet Pomet reserves the right to immediately cancel the holiday without further notice and the deposit shall be forfeited. Chalet Pomet shall be entitled to claim from you any sums due up to the amount due under the terms of cancellation.

Description- All descriptions on the website are given in good faith on the information available to us and believed to be correct. You should be made aware that in relation to the information given about the resorts and certain of the facilities we cannot guarantee accuracy at all times or that any particular activity will take place as these services are not under our control. Chalet Pomet takes no responsibility for your personal belongings, money, travellers' cheques or passport, either inside or outside the chalet.

Prices - We reserve the right to increase or decrease our prices at any time before your booking is accepted. The correct current price will be advised at the time of booking and may include any surcharge due to increase in government taxes or adverse changes in exchange rates. The price shown on your confirmation invoice will not be increased unless you amend the booking in any way after it is made. No surcharge will be imposed once your booking has been confirmed.
Alterations and/or Cancellation by Chalet Pomet-We reserve the right to make minor alterations to holiday and website details before and after any bookings have been confirmed. In the case of a minor alteration being made we will advise you at the earliest possible date. In the event of a significant alteration to your booking with us, we will advise you at the earliest possible date. You may then accept the alteration or cancel your holiday and receive a full refund. Chalet Pomet will pay no compensation. In very rare circumstances it may be necessary for us to cancel the booking by you. If we do so you will receive a full refund of all the monies paid. Chalet Pomet accepts no legal liability and no compensation will be paid if we are forced to cancel, curtail or in any way change your holiday due to circumstances beyond our control. These circumstances include, but are not limited to war, civil unrest, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire, technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports or ports, adverse weather conditions and any other similar event. We accept no liability to compensate you for loss of opportunity to take or enjoy the holiday.
Alterations and/or Cancellation by the Client -Any alterations made to the booking except additions to the existing booking within 8 weeks of arrival shall be deemed to be a cancellation of the existing booking and the cancellation charges set out in these terms and conditions will be levied. It may also be necessary to levy a small charge to process any alterations. Cancellations will only be effective when Chalet Pometreceives written notice of cancellation, signed by the person signing the booking form. More than 8 weeks before arrival – full deposit, 8-6 weeks 25% of balance, 6-4 weeks 50% 4-2 weeks 75% 2-arrival 100%.  In addition to the cancellation charge Chalet Pomet reserves the right to pass on any charges made by the suppliers of any services booked by Chalet Pomet on your behalf even when this exceeds the amount which would normally be charged under the scale of cancellation charges.

Chalet Pomet Liability - Chalet Pomet does not accept liability where there has been no fault on the part of Chalet Pomet, its servants under its control and where the events complained of are due to the events which neither Chalet Pomet nor its suppliers could have foreseen. In the event of any liability being accepted Chalet Pomet shall not be liable for more than the cost of the holiday accommodation. Chalet Pomet will not arrange your travel by air, rail or sea. Accordingly Chalet Pomet  cannot accept any responsibility for loss or injury suffered as the result of the acts or omissions of the providers of such services. Such arrangements are entirely your responsibility and you should ensure that they are made through a reputable provider. If you have any reason for complaint during your holiday you must inform us immediately in order to allow Chalet Pomet an opportunity to rectify the cause for complaint. Our representatives in the chalet are not authorised to promise any refund with respect to a client's complaint. If the complaint cannot be rectified please write to Chalet Pomet giving all the relevant details of the complaint within 28 days of your return from holiday. We cannot accept any Liability in respect of any complaint, which is not notified entirely in accordance with this clause.

Client Liability - Chalet Pomet is entitled to recover from you the cost of any damage caused by you or loss suffered as a result of your acts or omissions. We expect you to behave in such away as not to prejudice our reputation with our suppliers, our neighbours or other clients of Chalet Pomet. If this clause is breached, Chalet Pomet has the right to terminate the contract with you with immediate effect and demand the immediate vacating of the chalet.
Passports and Visas -You will require a valid full passport to travel to the chalet and this is your responsibility. If a visa is required it is your responsibility to obtain one.

Health - Before travelling you are advised to check with your own doctor for your own medical requirements.
Insurance -All persons booking a holiday are required to purchase insurance in order to cover the cost of cancellation by you and the cost of assistance and repatriation in the event of accident or illness. Insurance premiums must be in place at the time of booking. If you do not take out an insurance policy, Chalet Pomet would not be responsible for any matters or consequences thereby arising. You will be further responsible for paying to and indemnifying Chalet Pomet for such sums we meet on your behalf.

Resort Prices- Any prices given for equipment hire, instruction and ski passes were as accurate as possible at the time of going to press, however, we cannot accept responsibility for any variation between that time and the date of your holiday.
