There are plenty of Summer activities on offer in the Giffre valley. There is so much to see and do for all ages, the slopes turn into glorious flower filled meadows, with two lifts open at morillon 1100 there are plenty of walks and bike trails to explore. Parapenting off the top of the mountain is a must do.

 

There is a year round market which is great for local produce with some fantastically gooey goats cheeses and honey to enjoy in the Summer sun. If you haven't over indulged too much, follow one of the walks starting from the chalet door.

With the River Giffre running through the valley there are a range of rafting and water activities on offer. Morillon lake, Lac Bleu is just a 10 minute walk from the Chalet and is a great spot for the kids with a fantastic adventure tree top park.

 

 

The picturesque alpine village of Morillon is a laid back resort, centred around the main street of friendly bars and restaurants. There are a good range of restaurants from family fare to local french dining. Lac Bleu often has evening entertainment in the Summer. Five minutes by car is the nearby village of Samoens. Here you can find restaurants, bars and an excellent range of speciality shops centered around the market square.
